I dedicate this dance to Charlene Lam and David Chang.
Charlene is known to us (who danced with her in Livermore) for her sweetness, cheerfulness, and positive spirit.
I am touched by David’s unique, loving way of celebrating Charlene.
He also encouraged the devisors in the kindest and sweetest possible way.
His generosity exemplifies the Scottish dancing community’s spirits and makes me feel glad again that I’m part of this wonderful community.
I named the dance after Glenelg, a charming little village I accidentally discovered this summer while walking in the Kintails.
It stirred me to create something that I hope to be different, delightful, or refreshing.
