Dedicated to Charlene Lam.
This dance was written to honor Charlene’s infectious joyful spirit.
She never failed to light up the room with her smile and positivity.
I wrote the meanwhile figure “The Welcome Parade” to represent how she would often make her own path weaving in and out of the dancers, greeting each dancer personally with her bright smile as they warmed up around the room.
It was so special to recount so many happy memories of her while writing this dance.
