8 1s+2s set, circle 4H halfway, join with 3s & circle 6H halfway. Finish in circular formation, 3s at top (nearer to partner’s side), 1s in the middle & 2s at the bottom); 3s+2s retain nearer hands with partner. All set.
9-16
10 1s with 2W+3W dance RH across halfway, while 2M+3M dance into partner’s places.
11-18
12 3M+2W & 2M+3W turn LH halfway & finish in promenade hold facing up & down. Meanwhile, 1s turn RH halfway & face out. (Note that 2s &3s have danced half a ladies’ chain on bars 9-12.)
13-20
16 2s+3s in promenade hold A&R while 1s chase clockwise halfway round the outside.
17-24
24 Repeat bars 9-16 from new places & finish as at end of bar 8. 25-28 Taking NH with partner, 3s+2s set turning towards partner & cast away to sidelines at top & third places respectively. 1s remain in 2nd place.

32 3rd couple (in 1st place), giving LH & crossing down to begin, dance 1/2 Fig. of 8 around 1s. Finish 312.

I discovered the central figure of this dance in a modern English Country Dance: The Pleasure Vest.
The dance is dedicated to, and named by, Debbie Saunders of the RSCDS New Jersey Branch, with thanks for her extraordinary help when my wife Sue and I tutored RSCDS Teacher Candidate classes. The final trial of the dance took place in Debbie’s home, in Lowell Court, Mahwah, New Jersey in June 2025.
