Devised for
Tim Bolton-Maggs
’ 70th birthday in 2015.
The deviser explains that Tim “invited a group of friends to celebrate the occasion later with him in Budapest,
his favourite city, and as I was preparing to fly out to join them, two friends whom I shall call ‘pests’
texted me demanding a new dance to be performed there.
Hence my alternative title ‘The Curse of the Buda Pests’
The figures symbolise friends meeting to have fun then going off to explore the city before dancing together in the evening.”
