In March of 2025 for my 68th birthday my daughter Hayley and my son Bevan and daughter in Natalie along with my husband gave me an amazing present.
It was a knew number plate for my Beautiful Blue Peugeot EV. We always name our cars, and this car was off the shop floor, and I was able to choose the colour. We called it Bolt, (as in bolt lightening), as it has a very fast pick up speed, and one of our favourite NZ cricket fast bowler’s last name was also Bolt. We are not car people at all, in fact apart from a couple of company cars this is our first brand new car. We wanted to make a difference to the planet by changing to an EV so when the time came round to upgrade the car, it was going to be an EV.
So, an EV with a very special number plate had to have a dance surely.
