This dance was devised to celebrate Norman Bett’s 60th Birthday in June 1990, and is named after the Gregorach Band which he led some years before and which mainly consisted of members of his family.
The various sections of the dance show:
1-8 Norman organising the band.
9-16 The accordion - movement of the right hand on the keyboard followed by the movement of the bellows.
17-24 The violin - the diagonal lines represent the bow - 1st couple must pass left shoulders between reels to form the straight line of the bow.
25-32 Norman conducts the band (1st couple) while the dancers (2nd & 3rd couples) dance around the room.
