The notes also say that “Since ‘Kilkenny Castle’ was first devised I’ve enjoyed a guided tour through the Castle and heard that it is haunted by the ghost of a young girl called Petronella. I therefore felt I had to include the petronella figure in the dance - hence the slight alteration since first published.”
