Devised in late 1987 or early 1988 for Eileen Stuart and Neil Oxlade on the occasion of their wedding in June 1988.
Eileen was Secretary at that time of St. John’s Scottish Country Dancing Class at Wokingham and Bill Forbes taught there, as well as at Maidenhead. The tune was written for Eileen by Ray Milbourne. Eileen walked down the aisle to this tune, played by Ann Pfeiffer’s mother (Ann is a member of the Maidenhead club).
Laggan Bay on the Isle of Islay is Eileen and Neil’s favourite camping holiday place.
