Inscribed “for Alex Stewart of Kingston-on-Thames formerly of Perth”.
The notes also explain that “Ballynaree (Baile na righ) means the town of the king and has a double connection with Alex in that early English Kings were crowned at Kinqston-on-Thames while Scottish Kings were crowned at Scone near Perth”.
