“Kathleen Owens worked at the Leslie M. Frost Natural Resources Centre (formerly the Ontario Forest Technical School and Ontario Ranger School) for 31 years retiring on May 8. 1992 just three days after her 59th birthday. She will be truly missed; but to help celebrate her new career as a lady of leisure, this dance was created in her honour by co-worker Mike Turner. It was first performed at the Frost Centre during her retirement party on May 9, 1992.”
