The Monifieth Star
Monifieth is a resort town in Angus, east of Dundee.
Law Hill, a vitrified hill fort, is nearby
as is Buddon Ness which juts out into the North Sea near the entry to the Firth of Tay.
Since there are several lighthouses in the area
it is possible that one of these might be the “star” of Monifieth,
its erection in the 19th century celebrated with a dance.
