The 152 bars consist of 32 bars for the entry, 88 bars to do the actual dance, and 32 bars for the exit.
The rivers Dee and Don are famous for encircling the city of Aberdeen in North-East Scotland. The weaving in and out of the dancers as they enter is supposed to represent the winding of the two rivers.
