The »Sands of Morar« are on the west coast of Scotland, between
Arisaig and Morar (south of Mallaig on the A380). Lovers of the cinema
will recognise parts of the sands from the Bill Forsyth film,
Local Hero
.
(The village apparently near the beach as shown in the film is
actually in a completely different part of Scotland – Pennan, on the
east coast.)
