This dance is a simpler version of the Romance in Ireland by Stefan Barthel . David Gilliam learned it in Paris (Thanks to Patrick Chamoin , who saw it at our ball in Erlangen in 1996, but let’s keep the story short…) and he taught it at classes and workshops during the summer and fall of 1997 in America. He decided to make this version more suitable for a bit less experienced dancers by changing bars 9 to 24. It sure takes less time to teach it and make the dancers move.
