Drewry advises that “like other forms of tittle-tattle this dance should not be taken too seriously.”
He also adds in a footnote that:
“While I was checking Book 10 for reprinting, my attention was drawn to “The Infare” with its unusual turning with crossed hands. This dance is an attempt to develop the idea of crossed-hand turning. My guinea pigs decided that it worked better as a reel than as a strathspey.”
