Video 1 shows an “Instructional video from RSCDS archives” for this ceilidh dance, which seems to be the most common spread version in Scotland. The crib refers to this video. Can be danced as Reel or Jig, recordings for both versions exist.
There are Irish Ceili dances and English Country Dances with the same name; their descriptions and structure do not suit Scottish Country Dancing. Yet, you can encounter other SCD descriptions for that dance that are partially influenced by bits and pieces of the Irish or English version, and it may also be danced in a 4 couple set. It is not possible to feature all those variations.
