Clatterin' Brig Clatterin’ Brig is near Fettercairn, in the east of Scotland, between Montrose and Stonehaven, where the B974 approaches the Cairn o’ Mount (455 m altitude) in a left-hand bend. A bridge over the Devilly Burn existed there only since the 1770s – previously there was probably just a ford or crossing with stepping stones. The eponymous settlement, however, no longer exists; the only remainder is a tourist café/restaurant of the same name. From “Anselm's Notes on Dances”, by Anselm Lingnau (Used by permission.)
