Note: I was requested to teach cross-over mirror reels of three in one hour to a Celtic art class that had never before seen Scottish country dancing.
Their teacher, who had danced in the past, wanted to demonstrate how that type of reel resembled knotwork.
This dance was devised to familiarize the class with figures of eight and reels of three formations.
Following the successful completion of this dance, Maxwell’s Rant was taught to one brave set who danced it eight times through; mission accomplished!
