Originally, the instructions for bars 9–16 read “2nd, 1st and 3rd couples dance the knot and finish facing 1st corners”. “And finish facing 1st corners” was omitted from the actual book, but it has always been John Johnston’s intention for 1st couple to finish facing 1st corners. (Maureen Daniel)
