This dance was written to celebrate the occasion of our seventh wedding anniversary. Both the wedding and anniversary were glorious dance parties.
Notes:
It is useful for dancers to be explicitly reminded that there are two chases during bars 7·12: the petite chase in groups of four followed by the grand chase to the other end of the set.
On bars 13-16 first woman should lead her partner and cross him in front of her at the top of the dance, while fourth man will lead and cross his partner in front of him at the bottom.
The styling for bars 24-25 (and similarly bar 28) is similar to that used for Miss Gibson’s Strathspey with the necessary accommodation for two active couples turning until they face their corners. The two dancers who will be meeting in the
middle must not overturn with their partner but finish facing
each other, ready for their right hand turn.
