The original name on the
Strathspey
mailing list was given as “Knottah ('nother dance)” but in the
2001: A Dance Odyssey (2nd edition)
publication it has a longer subtitle “Knottah ('nother dance by David Le Broque)” which is added as an alias.
The publication explains that it was devised before anyone else had the chance to say “Not another dance by David Le Broque!”, and that is why the music is “Why Not?”!
