John Drewry wrote this dance in September 1999 for Margaret Hutcheon of Mosstowie and Margaret Kendall of Pontefract.
Furthermore he added the following notes in
Greenburn Book 3:
At the junction on the. A96 Aberdeen-Inverness road, where the road to Mosstowie branches off, there is an old toll house which is painted in such a way that the windows appear to have eyebrows!
The house in Monymusk, where Margaret Kendali spends some time each summer is also an old toll house.
Please also note:
The Pilling diagram in the 8th edition is in error, see the supplement to the 8th edition for the correct one.
